Welcome to Beloura

Not just a development. A place where a whole life fits within fifteen minutes.

Quinta da Beloura was born in the mid-1990s around an 18-hole golf course on the green slopes of the Sintra hills. Thirty years on, what were once plots have become a mature landscape: tree-lined avenues, lakes, more than 40,000 trees on the golf course alone, and homes that look out onto green.

Here, school is a stroll away, the hospital is on site, your daughter’s pony sleeps five hundred metres from home and the Guincho waves are fifteen minutes down the road. That is what not having to choose feels like.

Safety and peace of mind

The peace of mind of letting the kids cycle home alone.

The owners’ associations of Beloura I and Beloura II look after security, gatehouses and the upkeep of green spaces. Streets are wide, tree-lined and very quiet, and the village atmosphere does the rest: here, neighbours say hello.

  • Controlled accessGatehouses and access control across several parts of the community.
  • Private securityDay and night patrols on changing routes, contracted by the owners’ associations.
  • One of the safest countriesPortugal is the 7th most peaceful country in the world (Global Peace Index 2025).

Beloura combines access-controlled areas with public streets: a guarded neighbourhood, not a sealed compound.

History

From Alphaville to Sintra: thirty years in the making.

Beloura was not improvised. It is the result of three decades of landscaping, sport and community.

  3. 1995

UNESCO inscribes the Cultural Landscape of Sintra as a World Heritage Site, just minutes away.

  4. 1996

Pestana Group acquires the golf course — today’s Pestana Beloura Golf, beside the Pestana Sintra Golf hotel.

  5. 2017

Beloura Tennis Academy begins hosting international ITF tournaments.

  6. 2020
